A follow-up to the highly rated 2024 session on management of feline chronic kidney disease (available on demand), this webinar will offer an in-depth clinical discussion focused on managing chronic kidney disease in cats. Topics and questions raised by attendees during the 2024 webinar will be addressed, including interpreting ambiguous bloodwork results, determining the appropriate time to introduce a renal therapeutic diet, strategies for overcoming client reluctance to feed therapeutic diets, and much more.
Learning objectives
Following this webinar, attendees will better understand the following:
â–ª How to perform a detailed nutritional assessment of feline CKD patients.
â–ª The causes of appetite dysregulation associated with feline CKD.
â–ª How to develop strategies for counteracting appetite dysregulation in cats with CKD.
â–ª The importance of appropriate nutritional interventions in the management of feline CKD, including targeted nutrition for different stages of CKD.
â–ª How to have productive conversations with cat owners to improve adherence to medical and nutritional recommendations.
