This webinar will take a practical approach to canine and feline seizure cases\, including seizure look-alikes\, emergency control of active seizures\, and the management of cluster seizures and status epilepticus in light of the recent ACVIM consensus recommendations. Long-term treatment options will be discussed\, including phenobarbitone\, imepitoin\, potassium bromide\, zonisamide and the role of levetiracetam in both emergency and maintenance settings. \nSpeaker: \nDr Wilco Botha\, BSc BVSc (Hons) MMedVet (Med) Dip. ECVIM-CA (Internal Medicine)\nSouth African and European Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine\nDr Wilco Botha is a South African and European specialist in small animal internal medicine at Panorama Veterinary Clinic and Specialist Centre in Cape Town. He graduated from Onderstepoort in 2013\, where he also later completed his specialist training in small animal internal medicine.
