SUMMARY:VET BOOSTER | Webinar Invitation
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Vet Booster – Webinar Invitation\nSpeakers: Mark Slaughter\, Dean Webb and Dave Oxenham\nOrganizer: The Legacy Group\nLINK: REGISTER HERE \nVet Booster is the culmination of years of collaboration with veterinary partners. It empowers vets with a platform to strengthen client relationships\, enhance their practice’s value\, and support both their financial and emotional well-being in a demanding profession. At The Legacy Group\, we are committed to making a difference—for pets\, their owners\, and the professionals who care for them. \nWe invite you to join one of our upcoming Vet Booster webinars for April 2026: \nThese sessions will briefly unpack the Vet Booster platform\, share our vision\, and provide an opportunity to ask questions. \nA growing share of veterinary retail revenue has shifted to large online retailers\, often at the expense of practices. Vet Booster has been developed to help vets take that revenue back\, while also driving increased engagement and more in-practice visits through wellness and preventative care. \nWe’d appreciate the opportunity to share both the vision and the intent behind Vet Booster. \nDisclaimer: This information is exclusively intended for registered veterinary and para-veterinary professionals.

SUMMARY:SAVA | JHB Branch: Fluid Therapy During Anaesthesia of Small Mammals including Rabbits\, Guinea Pigs and Rats
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Fluid Therapy During Anaesthesia of Small Mammals including Rabbits\, Guinea Pigs and Rats\nSpeaker: Dr Dorianne Elliott\nSponsor: Idexx\nLINK: REGISTER HERE \nFluid therapy is a critical component of gold standard intra-operative care of small mammals. Due to their tiny size and fast metabolisms\, metabolic derangements can occur quickly during anaesthesia and appropriate fluid therapy can counteract many of these complications. Pre-operative bloods are also extremely useful in triaging and selecting patients suitable for surgical procedures. In this talk we will address i/v line placement\, appropriate fluids and rates and which pre-op bloods are useful for the 3 species discussed. \nDr Dorianne Elliott \nDVN\, BVSc\nDr Dorianne Elliott qualified from Onderstepoort in 2002 after completing first a nursing diploma and then a BVSc. She then worked at the Bird and Exotic Animal Hospital for 22 years\, 17 of which she was the owner of the clinic. Since closing the practice in 2023 she has been working as an Avian and Exotic Animal veterinarian at Valley Farm Animal Hospital. Dorianne is passionate about educating clients and vets on the proper care of exotic animals and has lectured the undergrad vets and nurses and presented numerous times at both South African and international congresses.
