SUMMARY:SAVA | JHB Branch: Recognising Endocrine Disease on Initial Assessment
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Recognising Endocrine Disease on Initial Assessment\nSpeaker: Dr Remo Lobetti\nSponsor: Royal Canin\nLINK: REGISTER HERE \nThis presentation provides a practical overview of recognising endocrine disease during the initial clinical assessment in dogs and cats by using history\, physical examination\, routine laboratory testing\, and ultrasonography to identify patterns that suggest common and less common endocrine disorders. By highlighting key clues\, the presentation reinforces the principle that endocrine disease is often missed not from lack of knowledge\, but from failure to consider it early in the diagnostic process. \nDr Remo Lobetti \nBVSc (Hons)\, MMedVet (Med) PhD\nRemo Lobetti graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science\, Onderstepoort\, University of Pretoria in 1987. Remo worked in general practice before joining the Department of Medicine\, Faculty of Veterinary Science\, University of Pretoria in 1992 initially as senior lecturer\, then associate professor and then as Section Head of Small Animal Medicine.
