In this session\, we’ll discuss the strengths and limitations of different fecal testing methods commonly used in South African clinics\, including wet preparation\, passive flotation\, and centrifugal flotation. We’ll also explore how VetScan Imagyst AI Fecal can enhance diagnostic accuracy\, streamline workflow\, and support best practices. Real-world examples and practical tips will be shared to help clinics improve parasite detection and patient care. \nYoko Nagamori \nDVM\, MSc\, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Microbiologists – Parasitology Veterinary Specialist\nDr. Yoko Nagamori is originally from Tokyo\, Japan\, where she earned her first undergraduate degree in Geosciences. She moved to the United States in 2005 and completed a second undergraduate degree in Biology at Augustana University in Sioux Falls\, SD. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 2013\, then immediately began her parasitology residency at the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology at Oklahoma State University\, completing her training with an MS degree in 2016. Dr. Nagamori became a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists (Parasitology) in 2017.\nDr. Nagamori served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Section Head of the Parasitology Diagnostic Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine\, Oklahoma State University\, for four years. In 2020\, she joined Zoetis Petcare as a veterinary specialist in parasitology within Veterinary Professional Services. She now serves as Head of Parasitology at Zoetis Reference Laboratories within Zoetis Global Diagnostics. Dr. Nagamori also recently earned an MBA\, further strengthening her expertise in veterinary diagnostics and leadership.
