SUMMARY:IDEXX | January VetSpecialist Exchange Webinar [WATCH RECORDING]
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Fecal Microbiota Transplantation: When and Why—A Case-Based Clinical Approach\nSpeakers: Dr Linda Toresson\nOrganizer: Idexx\nLINK: WATCH RECORDING \nDescription:\nJoin Dr. Linda Toresson for a case-driven seminar on the clinical application of fecal microbiota transplantation. Drawing on her extensive experience and two major studies in non-responsive and partially responsive chronic enteropathies\, Dr. Toresson will outline the scientific rationale for FMT\, synthesize the latest research\, and examine how this therapy influences clinical and metabolic parameters in dogs with acute and chronic enteropathies. She will review current indications\, walk through real-world cases\, and connect practical decision-making to emerging evidence and best practices. This session offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of an evolving therapy and to strengthen your approach to managing complex enteropathy cases. \nPresenter:\nDr. Linda Toresson is a Swedish specialist in small animal internal medicine whose career integrates gastroenterology-focused clinical practice at Evidensia Specialist Animal Hospital with longstanding research. She earned her PhD in gastroenterology at Helsinki University in 2018\, studying oral cobalamin supplementation in dogs with chronic enteropathies\, and completed a 2024–2025 post-doctoral fellowship at the Texas A&M Gastrointestinal Laboratory focused on fecal microbiota transplantation and bile acid diarrhea. She has authored more than 20 scientific papers\, contributed to multiple book chapters\, and serves on several advisory boards\, including the Companion Animal Fecal Bank Consortium and the Swedish Medical Product Agency’s Scientific Committee. \nCan’t make the live webinar?
