In 2000\, he completed his PhD on the genetics and immune responses in atopic dermatitis and has since been part of the ‘itchy dog’ project at the University of Nottingham where he has worked\, first as an associate and now a member of staff since 2013. Steve is the national dermatologist for Guide Dogs with whom he has worked for over 30 years.
