In some cases\, these conditions can even lead to fatal outcomes. This webinar will highlight the different types of tusk pathology in elephants and present the most appropriate treatment options\, based on the latest guidelines and clinical experience. \nWildlife Pharmaceuticals is a proudly South African pharmaceutical company\, with over 20 years’ experience in the veterinary field. We specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of small batch\, scheduled medicines intended for niche markets across the globe. \nWildlife Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1997 as a distributor of wildlife immobilisation medicines. At the time\, there was a growing global demand for wildlife specific veterinary medicines due to the increasing need for conservation-based wildlife management. This spurred on the decision to build a small-scale API and small batch sterile filling facility. \nAbout the Speaker: \nDr. Yves Debosschere graduated from Ghent University in 1992 and worked for ten years in mixed practice before starting his first formal training in veterinary dentistry in 2001. He later pursued advanced education in dentistry and oral surgery\, and since 2018 he has run his own consulting practice focusing on companion animals\, wildlife\, and zoo dentistry. Since 2024\, he has also served as a wildlife dentistry consultant for Tsavran Consultancies. He has been a board member of EVDS/EVDF since 2015 and will assume the presidency of the European Veterinary Dental Foundation in 2025. \n
