He worked in private practice at the Bryanston Veterinary Hospital where he earned his MMedvet in small animal surgery in 2011 under Drs Bruce and Greg Irvine-Smith. This allowed Ross to register as a surgical specialist with the SAVC. He continued to work as a senior specialist in private practice until 2020\, when he returned to Onderstepoort to take up the position of senior lecturer of small animal surgery in the companion animal clinical studies department and start a residency for the European college of veterinary surgeons. He has completed the residency in 2023 and passed the exam in 2025. He is a registered specialist with the European College of Veterinary surgeons\, the European board of Veterinary specialists and recognized specialist with the royal College of Veterinary surgeons. Currently works at Valley Farm Veterinary Hospital. \nAmanda van Zyl\nAmanda was born and raised in Pretoria and developed a strong passion for animals\, microbiology\, and research early on. She pursued a Diploma in Veterinary Technology at Technikon Pretoria (now Tshwane University of Technology)\, graduating in 1987 after completing her practical year at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute. In 1999\, she completed her B-Tech degree in Veterinary Technology\, majoring in Veterinary Microbiology and Reproduction Technology\, while leading the semen production lab at Taurus Stock Improvement in Irene. She joined Immuno-Vet Services in 2000 as a representative for Hygiene and Biosecurity products\, remaining there until the company closed in 2021. She then moved to Diag Poultry (Diag Import & Export)\, where she continues to specialize in Veterinary Microbiology\, poultry farm hygiene\, biosecurity programs\, and food safety throughout the production chain.

After qualifying he moved to the UK to practice around London where he also worked as a Veterinary Business Advisor for Hill’s Pet Nutrition and completed a Diploma in Senior Management at the Open University. He returned to South Africa in 2003 for three years was a resident and lecturer at the University of Pretoria where he qualified as a specialist physician. While at the university he developed his interest in oncology and ran the Oncology Service\, before moving into private practice. For 17 years he ran a referral service for the province\, while also undertaking referral work in Zambia and Mauritius\, and lecturing and training vets around SA and internationally. Anthony grew his practice from three to 50 staff over three branches\, while at the same time consulting for Royal Canin during the melamine crisis of 2006-2007 and pioneering the use of PDT for skin cancer. Pursuing his love of studying\, Anthony will complete a BSc in Archaeology and Anthropology through the University of South Africa in 2024.At the start of 2024 he also moved back to the UK to join Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists as the Clinical Oncologist. His particular interests lie in interventional procedures\, the management of skin cancers\, sarcomas and mast cell tumours\, as well as managing senior oncology patients with comorbidities

The presentation emphasizes the importance of identifying non-neoplastic lesions and using a methodical diagnostic and therapeutic approach. \nDr Peter Guy BSc\, BVSc\, MMedVet (Surg)\nSpecialist Surgeon @ Panorama Veterinary Clinic & Specialist Centre\nDr Peter Guy is a South African veterinarian who specialises in small animal surgery. He qualified as a veterinarian in 2013 from Onderstepoort and completed his specialist training in 2023. The Objectives of the session is the importance of contextualizingautomated data with clinical signs and smear findings. We will cover the following : \n\nPrinciples of Automated Hematology\nInterpretation of Automated CBC\nRecognizing Artifacts and Flags\nIntegrating Smear Findings with CBC\nCoagulation Disorders\nBone Marrow Biopsy and Interpretation\nImmunologic Testing\nCase-Based Integration\nSummary and Practical Pearls\n\nPresenters: Dr Anthony Zambelli\nVeterinarian – Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialist \nAnthony trained as a vet at the University of Pretoria\, South Africa whilst also studying for a degree in Zoology at the University of Witwatersrand. After qualifying he moved to the UK to practice around London where he also worked as a Veterinary Business Advisor for Hill’s Pet Nutrition and completed a Diploma in Senior Management at the Open University. He returned to South Africa in 2003 for three years was a resident and lecturer at the University of Pretoria where he qualified as a specialist physician. While at the university he developed his interest in oncology and ran the Oncology Service\, before moving into private practice. For 17 years he ran a referral service for the province\, while also undertaking referral work in Zambia and Mauritius\, and lecturing and training vets around SA and internationally. Anthony grew his practice from three to 50 staff over three branches\, while at the same time consulting for Royal Canin during the melamine crisis of 2006-2007 and pioneering the use of PDT for skin cancer. Pursuing his love of studying\, Anthony will complete a BSc in Archaeology and Anthropology through the University of South Africa in 2024.At the start of 2024 he also moved back to the UK to join Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists as the Clinical Oncologist. His particular interests lie in interventional procedures\, the management of skin cancers\, sarcomas and mast cell tumours\, as well as managing senior oncology patients with comorbidities
