DESCRIPTION:Subject: Solensia Webinar – Cats Don’t Make It Easy: Helpful Tools To Assess\, Manage and Treat Feline OA\nSpeaker: Dr Margaret Gruen\nOrganizer: Zoetis\nLINK: WATCH RECORDING \nDr Margaret Gruen – DVM\, MVPH\, PhD\, DACVB (Behaviour)\nDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (NC Licensed)\nBoard Certified by the American College of Veterinary Behaviourists Doctorate\, Comparative Biomedical Sciences\nMaster’s in Public Health (Veterinary) \nDr. Gruen is a Professor of Behavioural Medicine (with tenure)\, University Faculty Scholar\, Co-Director of the Feline Health Centre\, and Director of the Comparative Behavioural Research Laboratory at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.\nShe completed a PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences at NC State University with work focused on the assessment of pain in cats with degenerative joint disease. She then completed a post-doctor- al position at Duke University\, and served as a co-Director of the Duke Canine Cognition Center. Her current work focuses on topics of human-animal interaction\, including understanding the effects of chronic pain on behaviour and cognition.\nDr Gruen has authored and co-authored over 90 papers\, participated in Rigorously Peer-Reviewed Conference Proceedings\, and contributed to 11 book chapters.\nShe has an impressive number of lectures\, presentations\, posters and continuing education titles to her name\, and has contributed to lay media\, both in print and in web and podcast formats. Dr Gruen is also a dedicated mentor to residents and students.
