SUMMARY:HILL'S | Vet Webinar #4: Tooth Resorption [WATCH RECORDING]
DESCRIPTION:Subject: Hill’s Vet Webinar #4: Tooth Resorption\nSpeakers: Dr Roxanne Emslie\nOrganizer: Hill’s Pet Nutrition\nLINK: WATCH RECORDING \nTooth resorption is the great imitator of dental conditions. It can masquerade as periodontal disease\, gingivitis and even gingival enlargements or oral masses. Even though it often tries to hide away\, it causes severe pain and can be debilitating for our beloved pets. In this webinar\, we will reveal a few tell-tale signs of tooth resorption and how to decide the best course of action for each tooth\, and even each root\, as an individual. \nDr Roxanne Emslie BSc\, BVSc\, MSc\, Dipl.EVDC\nCape Animal Dentistry Service\nAfter qualifying from Onderstepoort\, Roxanne joined a predominantly equine referral practice. Here she gained some exposure to equine and small animal dentistry and realised this was a frequently overlooked aspect of veterinary science that can greatly impact an animal’s quality of life. She went back to Onderstepoort to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery\, after which she moved to Cape Town to complete her residency with the European Veterinary Dental College\, as well as her MSc in serval oral and dental pathology. Roxanne is a European recognised specialist in dentistry and oral surgery. When not talking teeth\, Roxanne enjoys all the outdoor adventures that Cape Town has to offer together with her husband\, Kevin\, as well as her horse\, two dogs and two cats.
