The abdomen:
An in depth look at evaluating the more difficult organs or areas, such as: the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, prostate and uterus, adrenal glands, major abdominal lymph nodes, the peritoneal space and an introduction to tissue sampling techniques focusing on fine needle aspiration.
Differences between the canine and feline.
Examples include:
Focusing on difficult areas like the common bile duct and duodenal papilla, the pylorus, and a detailed evaluation of the wall of the stomach and intestines.
Using the anatomical landmarks used to find small organs such as the adrenal glands, lymph nodes and pancreas. and to be able to differentiate normal appearance from pathological changes.
