This talk aims to enhance the clinical understanding of canine and feline obesity by providing an overview of obesity in dogs and cats and addressing its multifactorial causes such as nutritional imbalances, owner behaviour, endocrine disorders, breed predispositions, and lifestyle factors. Emphasis will be placed on the pathophysiological consequences of obesity. Diagnostic approach and body condition scoring, will also be covered.
