They will also provide practical strategies to prevent and manage this issue in veterinary patients.
Additionally, the speakers will share effective communication tips that veterinary health care team members can use to help pet owners understand and address changes in their pets’ food preferences or intake.
Learning objectives
After this webinar, attendees will better understand the following:
â–ª Normal eating behaviors and how food preferences develop in cats and dogs.
â–ª Potential causes of food aversion.
â–ª How the veterinary team can avoid common mistakes when introducing therapeutic diets, feeding hospitalized patients, and administering medications.
â–ª Approaches for managing food aversion once it has developed.
▪ Effective communication by the veterinary health care team to help owners understand and address changes in their pets’ food preferences or intake.
