He is a coauthor of the Manual of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and has authored articles on cardiomyopathy, acute abdomen disease, drug toxicities and burn injury. This session will provide an update on appropriate fluid therapy for patients with AKI with an emphasis on ‘above all do no harm’ when it comes to type and volume of fluid to administer to support kidney function while avoiding the deleterious effects of hypervolemia.
