Description:
Patients with endocrine disorders including hypothyroidism, hypercortisolism, sex hormone dermatoses, feline hyperthyroidism, and feline acquired cutaneous fragility often present with skin and ear abnormalities that can be the first or only clinical clues. This webinar will review the hallmark cutaneous signs of common endocrinopathies, practical management strategies, and how concurrent allergies can complicate the picture.
We will also cover superficial necrolytic dermatitis (hepatocutaneous syndrome), emphasizing diagnosis and skin-focused treatment, and conclude with key features of three immune-mediated diseases—acute febrile neutrophilic dermatitis, eosinophilic dermatitis with edema, and sterile panniculitis—to help distinguish them from similar infectious conditions.
Presenter: Christina Gentry, DVM, DACVD
