Strategies to optimize voluntary water intake of cats, and the subsequent production of less concentrated urine, can be important to the long-term management of some feline diseases. However, few of the commonly recommended strategies are supported with evidence. This lecture will cover what is known to be helpful, what appears to be unsuccessful, and what remains speculative.
